Timed Keys
Bountiful Delves are a fantastic source of gear for those who don't feel like doing Mythic Keystones. Here's a full guide on how to max it out!
Acquisition of Restored Coffer Keys
1) You can obtain 4 full keys per week from pinnacle caches which are from the following weekly activities:
1.a) Archives: Seeking History from Brinthe in Dornogal.
1.b) Call of the World Soul from Faerin Lothar in Dornogal.
1.c) Delves: Worldwide Research from Brann in Dornogal.
1.d) Special Assignment world quests in K'aresh.
1.e) Ecological Succession world quest at the Oasis in K'aresh.
You can use the following command in-game to track how many keys you have obtained for that week on that specific character:
/script local j,c=0,{"FFFFFF","00FF00","00FFFF","FFFF00","FF0000"};for i=0,3,1 do if(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(84736+i))then j=j+1 end;end;print("Delve keys obtained this week: ",format("\124cff%s",c[j+1]),j,"/4\124r")
2) Keys can also be obtained from renown reputation with all factions in The War Within. Note that this acquistion of keys is only applicable once per character. Keys are not transferrable between characters.
2.a) Council of Dornogal - Renown 17.
2.b) Assembly of Deeps - Renown 13.
2.c) Hallowfall Arathi - Renown 14.
2.d) Severed Threads - Renown 13.
2.e) Cartels of Undermine - Renown 9.
2.f) The K'aresh Trust - Renown 12.
3) You can buy two keys per week from Sir Finley Mrrgglton by progressing through the Delve Track for 2,000 undercoins each.
4) You can forge keys from Coffer Key Shard item in your bag (you need 100 to forge 1 key - these are not counted towards the weekly cap). You can obtain Coffer Key Shards from:
A cap of 4 Weekly quests from each zone:
World Quests have a chance to drop 25 Coffer Key Shards; world quests reset twice per week.
Finally, the Worldsoul Memories Event - Bountiful Delves have a chance to drop Radiant Echoes; bringing these Echoes to a Worldsoul Memory event (found in each zone) will trigger a small timed event during which the more mobs you kill, the more Coffer Shards and Valorstones you will obtain.
Use of Restored Coffer Keys
Each day, there are 4 Bountiful Delves selected. These Delves are marked via an open, glowing entrance on the map; in order to maximize the benefit of keys, run at least a minimum of a Tier 8 Delve. A bountiful delve has a Bountiful Coffer at the end of the Delve, which requires the use of a Restored Coffer Key.
Once you run a bountiful delve, even if the Restored Coffer Key has not been used, the Bountiful tag is removed from that Delve.
How to acquire a Hidden Trove for Hero-Track pieces
Once you reach the 2nd Delve milestone, you may acquire Delver's Bounties upon:
1) Successful Completion of a Delve.
2) Successful fight against the Season's Delve Nemesis (either via randomly spawning in a Delve or using the item Shrieking Quartz).
These Bounties give a buff upon which in a completion of a Tier 8 Delve or higher, you gain access to a Hidden Treasure Trove.
This can be completed only once per week per character.
Note that the Shrieking Quartz is only usable after activating the Restoration Stone (aka Resurrection check-point). It is obtained as:
2.a) Random Drop upon successful Delve completion.
2.b) Random Drop from Season 3's new Flickergates.
2.c) Purchasable from Sirr Finley Mrrglton for 2,000 Undercoins.

Approaching PvP
PvP is centered primarily on two secondary stats: 1) Versatility 2) Mastery/Haste/Critical Strike, depending on your class. Rarely you will see a class that might balance a 3rd secondary stat, but most often than not it is majorly stacking one alongside Versatility. Due to this, you can enter PvP with PvE pieces that have Versatility on them later in the season as max-upgraded Hero items (710) are comparable to base Honor gear.
Note that tier sets have diminished power in PvP combat so it is not always necessary to have 4-set on classes. You can use the website murlok.io in order to start your research for what the top 50 players in each content use in terms of embellishments, trinkets & enchants etc.
Gearing for PvP
PvP gear has an extra Equip effect that states: "Increased item level to a minimum of X in Arenas and Battlegrounds".
Therefore, the base item level of PvP (meaning the Upgrade Level: Explorer/Veteran/Champion 1/8) does not matter in PvP combat scenarios: World PvP via Warmode and Instanced PvP via Quick Match selection & Rated. It is very important, however, to have 2 PvP trinkets of any item level in order to get the Gladiator's Distinction set bonus, which increases your Primary Stat by 12% and Stamina by 15% when partaking in PvP.
Note that currently, you may obtain Gladiator weapons for free by reaching 2,500 Conquest gain per character, per season. It is tracked via Feats of Strength Achievement under the Player vs. Player section (Astral Weapons of Conquest). You will obtain x2 Gladiator's Weapon Token, which are used to redeem either:
After earning the achievement, you may purchase any weapon for extra conquest.
PvP currently has 3 different currencies:
1) Honor - used to purchase the base PvP gear (710); you can earn Honor and transfer it between characters (note that Honor points transfer incurs a 20% penalty loss). Honor is earned by performing any form of PvP.
2) Bloody Tokens - used to purchase upgraded PvP gear except for neck, rings and trinkets (720); there is a season maximum cap of Bloody Tokens that gets increased each week. You may find what the weekly cap is and whether you have reached it under the Currency Tab in the PvP section by hovering over Bloody Tokens.
3) Conquest - used to purchase the maximum upgraded gear (723); there is a season maximum cap of Conquest that gets increased each week.
Earning Bloody Tokens
You may earn Bloody Tokens via:
Earning Conquest
You may earn Conquest from victories in instanced PvP:
Conquest Cap:
Week 1 - 1600
Week 2 - 2200
Week 3 - 2800
Week 4 - 3400
Week 5 - 4000
Week 6 - 4600
Week 7 - 5200
Week 8 - 5800
Week 9 - 6400
Week 10 - 7000
Week 11 - Conquest Cap removed.
Obtaining Conquest the PvE way
With the introduction of War Supply Chests in Dragonflight and their contiuation with The War Within, players have found that one of the quickest way to cap on Conquest is to utilise sharding (or layering) to their advantage. The way that sharding works is that either a group of volunteers (or one person with multiple accounts) park a character in each of the TWW zones in order to keep the shard the same, after which the raid leader (a conductor of the train so to speak) would announce the zone which will have the War Supply Chest spawn in.
This is done utilising the addon Rdy's Crate Tracker which showcases which shard/layer you are on and how long until the supply chest spawns, and calculates which zone will be the next drop. Note that you do not need this addon to partake in these groups, it is enough for the raid leader to have it. You may find these groups under the Player vs. Player section of Premade Groups (Custom) titled something similar to "War Box/Chest/Crate farm". It is highly unlikely that you would engage in WPvP with the opposing faction, and it is mostly an AFK way to grind Conquest as it nets you something along the lines of 60 Conquest every 2-3 minutes on average (sometimes you have to wait for the spawn a bit longer, sometimes you get one spawn after the next). Note that whichever character you grind Conquest on will need to have The Siren Isle, Undermine and K'aresh unlocked (and of course, War Mode toggled on) in order to partake in, as chests spawn in every zone with War Mode on. Grinding this way absolutely allows your character to step into PvP with max gear without having ever done actual PvP combat.
Crafting for PvP
Crafted PvP gear is currently called Algari Competitor's X (wherein X is the slot of the gear - helm/shoulder etc.). Each piece requires either:
The current Heraldry cost for each piece are as follows: a) x5 For Helmet, Chest, Legs, Trinkets. b) x4 for Shoulders, Waist, Feet, Hands. c) x3 for Wrist, Neck, Rings, Cloak.
You are not able to convert crafted pieces into Tier.
Acquisition of Tier Sets in PvP
Pre-Undermine patch, players had to utilise their Catalyst to either convert a PvP piece or PvE piece, making it difficult to balance both modes on one character due to the catalyst charge costs. As of patch 11.1: Undermine(d) you may purchase:
This allows you to put the on-Equip: "Increases item level to a minimum of 723 in Arenas and Battlegrounds" effect on your already existing tier set items, meaning that your PvE tier pieces can be utilised for PvP. Note that this is only applicable for Tier pieces (helm/shoulders/chest/gloves/pants).
The existence of the Conqueror's Varnish & Lacquer mean that any character can now have a Gladiator-item level Tier set piece even if it doesn't necessarily start off as such, meaning that if you have a Veteran/Champion/Hero Tier Set piece it will act as a max-item level gear in PvP settings. Note that this is not applicable in PvE and you will not be able to obtain free Myth pieces for PvE instances in this regard. For fresh characters who have no gear, this still means that you need to obtain at least Veteran set pieces through some way (either via purchasing them for Honor tokens or via PvE) in order to convert them to Gladiator equivalent PvP set pieces.
Note that Tier sets have diminished power in PvP combat so it is not always necessary to have 4-set on classes. You can use the website murlok.io in order to start your research for what the top 50 players in each content use in terms of embellishments, trinkets & enchants etc.
Weekly PvP Quests
Each reset, you may pick 3 of the following from Ruffious in Dornogal:
1) Sparks of War: (Isle of Dorn/The Ringing Deeps/Hallowfall/Azj-Kahet/Undermine/K'aresh) - these weeklies require you to obtain 100 Sparks of War in Warmode for one of the zones. Rewards you with 1,000 Bloody Tokens, 500 Honor & 50 Conquest (all of which still contribute towards the weekly caps). You may acquire Sparks of War via:
2) x2 Preserving: (in Arenas/ in Battle/ in Skirmishes/ in War/Solo/Teamwork) - These weeklies require you to obtain Honor in the following modes listed in the quest. Rewards you with anywhere from 350 to 750 Honor and 125 to 175 Conquest depending on quest (all of which contribute towards the weekly caps).
3) Weekly Brawl - upon successful victory of a Brawl (the first for that week) you may hand in (!) Something Different to Ruffious for 110 Conquest, 250 Honor and Marks of Honor (all contribute towards the weekly caps).
4) If it is Battleground Bonus Event, you may partake in (!) A Call to Battle from Archivist Frithrunin Dornogal for 5 Marks of Honor and 175 Conquest (all contribute towards the weekly caps).
Gemming in PvP
The usual item used to add sockets for PvE gear (Magnificent Jeweler's Setting or Technomancer's Gift) does not work in PvP. Instead, you need to acquire and use Astral Jeweler's Setting. It costs x3 Vicious Bloodstones and 5000 Honor and depletes on use. Vicious Bloodstones cost 2500 Honor; meaning to add 1 gem socket you are required to spend 12,500 Honor in total.
You can use normal jewelcrafting gems off the AH that you acquire for PvE in PvP.
